Ohm - Exploring
San Francisco, California - November 14, 2004

Today I went to the Exploratorium, a hands-on science museum in San Francisco, California. I got to make a vortex, and see baby fish grow from a single microscopic cell, and blow a giant bubble, and play with electricity, and see what the world looks like in thermal imagery (I'm not very warm) and lots more!

Here I am in the gift shop with some new friends... a bunch of Giant Microbes. Clockwise from the bottom left: The Flu (Orthomyxovirus), Yeast (the kind in bread and beer), Stomach Ache (Shigella), Sore Throat (Streptococcus), Athlete's Foot (Trichophyton montagrophytes), a bacteria-like critter from Mars (Rock ALH 84001), and me, Ohm.

You can visit the Exploratorium at www.exploratorium.edu

You can see more Giant Microbes at www.giantmicrobes.com

Ohm - Ohhhhmmmmmm
Berkeley, California - November 11, 2004

Ohm getting his zen on.

Faraday - Spinning Wheel
Unknown location - October 17, 2004

Not sure where I'm at, but it involves a spinning wheel...which is just fine to me.

Faraday - Orr Hot Springs
Ukiah, California - October 16, 2004

I'm visiting the warm waters up at Orr Hot Springs. I spent most of the weekend sitting in the pools just relaxing and watching the day go by.

Orr is a divine hot springs resort nestled in a valley, three hours north of San Francisco in Ukiah. Very nice and I recommend you all go.

Also: "I spotted Faraday in a hot tub with two unclothed beauties at Orr Hot Springs in Ukiah, CA.  I ran to my room to get my camera, but alas when I returned Faraday was gone.  Someone must have be unable to restrain themselves and whisked him off to their cabin and I was left alone."

Voltaire - Vasectomy Party
North Hollywood, California - October 9, 2004

Twinkle, twinkle little star
Bring us nights in trendy bars
And time well spent with sexy strangers,
Not child-proofing our household dangers.

We'll spend our cash on booze and tattoos,
Not bottles and diapers for baby poop.
No crying, no changing, no picking out names -
We prefer sleeping, fine dining and games.

So, please, little star - No babies for us.
Sterility seems a great deal less fuss.
Childless by choice, that is how we will be
Thanks to you little star - and a vasectomy!

Voltaire - Mr. Green Sock Monkey
Alameda, California - October 8, 2004

Mr. Green Sock Monkey

Hi Flint! I am hanging out at Ann's house in Alameda, CA with Mr. Green Sock Monkey. We are having so much fun! Tonight we are going to drive to a place called North Hollywood. Mr. Green Sock Monkey says it is a long drive, but that we will meet more good friends there. Yay! I am attaching some pictures of me and Mr. Green Sock Monkey so that you will know I am safe.

Project ready and looking for volunteers
October 7

Finally. After months of shelving off this project, it's been dusted off and in a flurry of busy bee-ness, it's done. Well, no not really. The site is done and the plug figures are itching to go galivant around the world, but they need some help. If there are any folks out there who are traveling to far a way places, I'd really like to talk to you about taking on of the plugs with you. Would you mind? They don't take up much space in your luggage and all I need is for you to drop it off some where and take a photograph of it. Besides, won't it be fun trying to explain what the heck it is that you're carrying when stopped in customs? Just say it is some trinket you got in Belize.

If you're interested in doing this (for art!), send me a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
