How we are made

The figures were made by sculpting the original model from oil clay and the face plate of an electrical socket. A two-part silicone rubber mold was made, first by creating the front half and then the back half.

The original clay model is then discarded and a hollow mold is created. The mold is then bound together. A two-part liquid plastic is mixed, poured, and then let cured inside the mold to form the figure. When the plastic is hardened, the rubber mold is opened and the figurine is removed.

Some minor clean up is required to remove any extra plastic on the seams. Once fully cured *huzzah* a plastic figure is born.
